If You Need Help With an Internet Problem You're Screwed

If you need help  with an internet problem the FBI can't help you.  One of my blogs was hacked exposing me and my readers to a world of problems.  All of my internet accounts were affected.  I did what I was supposed to do.  I filed a report with the FTC, the credit agencies, and called the social security adminstration.  I also call the local FBI office. Where I was asked to leave messages, hung up on, and then finally told there was nothing they could do.  I am not only angry, but scared.  I asked one person there, "Do you mean that if if one or more citizens called in a internet attack it would take the FBI weeks to respond?" "What is homeland security doing?"  She said I should call my congressman.

I'll post more details of this problem in the next coming weeks.  In the mean time check one my new twitter page.

Social Networking is Important to Your Business

No online marketing strategy is complete without a social networking component. Regardless of your businesses there is a social networking site that can be beneficial to targeting your demographic. There is a social networks such as Twitter, YouTube and, of course, Facebook and MySpace offer unique online marketing opportunities.

Why is it important to your business? It’s important for building an effective web presence for many reasons. It provides engaging, interactive content for customers and potential customers. Social networking gives customers a reason to come back while assisting in establishing a brand, driving traffic, and encouraging dialogue. Finally, Social networking satisfies everyone’s desire for a sense of community while creating valuable word of mouth online buzz. This grassroots approach is effective for turning simple visitors to a website into paying customers.

Leading online media experts agree. Arianna Huffington co-founder and editor–in-Chief of The HuffingtonPost.com has often declared that without the social networking savvy of the Obama campaign Barrack Obama would not be the 44th president of the United States. The affects of social networking have become that profound. Using social networking tools such as MySpace, Twitter, and YouTube not only was the Obama campaign able to attract and engage voters, but also motivate them to act.

Social networking is a major key to online marketing success. Yes, it has a long list of advantages, but ultimately social networking achieves the goal of having sites that include your name and link back to your website or blog. Raising your online profile. The higher your profile rises in search engines the more you increase your chances of your customers finding you.
